Someone local
A helper’s price is agreed up front: you see it before you agree. It is free to post a job on Taskerama and to compare offers. If you hire someone, a booking fee is added to the price you agree: £4.95 on a price under £30, £9.95 from £30 to £59.99 and £14.95 from £60 to £89.99, shown on every offer before you accept.
Say what you are after when you post: the store, the items with their brands and sizes, and roughly how much you want spent. Clear details get clearer prices.
Getting the best of it
Spend £25 and standard delivery is free, so a top-up can cost less than the delivery. Prescription medicines and gift cards do not count towards it.
Click & Collect is free on online orders over £15, if you are passing the shop.
Put everything in one trip. A helper can bring the baby things, the toiletries and the make-up together, which is better value than three runs.
The price of the things themselves is whatever the store charges. A helper’s fee is on top, and you see it before you agree.
