How to get Heron Foods shopping delivered
Heron Foods has no home delivery and no online shop, so here is how people get it home instead, starting with the way that works at any address.
The three ways, in order
Ask someone local
This one works everywhere. Someone nearby takes your list to your Heron Foods, picks out what you asked for and brings it to your door when it suits you. Heron shops are on high streets and parades, so a small shop can come on foot; a big one with frozen food is easier by car.
You see the price before you agree to anything. You can post the job on Taskerama.
Write a list with second choices
Heron Foods sells nothing online and says it is “unable to reserve stock” or confirm what a given store has. So the list does the work: a second choice by anything that might have sold out, and the frozen things grouped at the end.
Its weekly deals are on the Heron Foods website, which is a handy place to start.
Check the apps
We have not been able to confirm that any delivery app carries Heron Foods, and its own site names none. If you use one anyway, try your postcode, but do not plan around it.
Getting the frozen part home cold
Cool bags. Ask your helper to bring a couple, or leave yours out for them.
Freezer aisle last. Cupboard things and drinks first, then the frozen and chilled food just before the till.
Straight to you. Ask for it to come round as soon as it is paid for, not after other errands.
Room in the freezer. Clear a space before it arrives.
Which one suits you?
A full weekly shop? Someone local with a car, and say how much is frozen so they bring enough cool bags.
A handful of things? Still worth posting. A Heron on a high street is an easy stop for someone passing.
Every week? Find one person and keep them. They soon learn what you buy.
For someone else? Put their phone number on the job, so the frozen things are not left on the step.
Not sure which store is yours? Find it here, with the neighbourhoods around it.
