Say what you need
Put up your shopping list, say which Aldi, and add anything you are fussy about. It takes about a minute.
No. Aldi does not bring groceries to your home anywhere in the UK, and has not done since August 2024. You can still get an Aldi shop delivered though, by paying someone local to go and fetch it, and this page shows you how.

The short answer
There is no Aldi app to order from, no delivery slots, and no click and collect. Aldi ran delivery for about four years and then closed every part of it, and nothing has come along since.
Which leaves a much better question than whether Aldi delivers: who is going to fetch your shopping, and how quickly can they do it. There are more answers to that than you might expect.
One way is to pay someone local to do the shop and drop it round. It works like this.
Put up your shopping list, say which Aldi, and add anything you are fussy about. It takes about a minute.
People nearby can send you a price. You can see their ratings and ask them anything before you say yes.
Whoever you pick goes to the shop, buys your list, and messages you if something is not on the shelf.
Bags handed over. Your payment is held until you confirm the shopping has arrived.
A few good options, depending on what you need and where you live.
A UK job site where you post the shop you want doing and people nearby can offer to do it. Every fee is shown before you agree to anything.
Other ways
Two other sites where you can hire someone for an errand. Each sets its own fees, so check them on its own site before you book.
It need cost nothing, and someone nearby may be glad to be asked. A local Facebook or Nextdoor group is another place to ask.
Help with shopping for older people in some areas. Ask early what runs near you, and whether there is a charge.
For a big weekly shop, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Iceland all deliver. You pay their prices, not Aldi's, but the van comes to you.
Why it went
| When | What closed |
|---|---|
| January 2022 | The tie-up with Deliveroo ended and around 130 shops came off the app, as people went back to shopping in person after the pandemic. |
| January 2023 | Specialbuys stopped being delivered, so the middle aisle became something you visit rather than order. |
| Autumn 2023 | Wine and spirits delivery was dropped, which closed the last way to have a case sent out. |
| 18 August 2024 | Click and Collect closed after four years and 174 shops. |
Reported in the grocery trade press between January 2022 and August 2024. Aldi has not announced anything to take their place.
Every Aldi in England, Scotland and Wales has its own page, with the areas around it and who can help nearby.
1,087 shops across England, Scotland and Wales.
No. Aldi has no home delivery service anywhere in the United Kingdom. The last part of it, click and collect, closed on 18 August 2024.
You can still get an Aldi shop delivered by asking someone local to go and fetch it for you.
Not for a grocery shop. Aldi's website is there to show you what is in the shops and what is coming up in the middle aisle, but there is no basket to fill and no delivery slot to book.
Nobody, in the UK. Aldi worked with Deliveroo between 2020 and January 2022, and that was the only delivery partner it ever had here.
In America things are different, where Aldi does deliver through Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats. Those services do not cover British shops.
It depends on the size of the shop and what you agree with whoever fetches it. We do not know of a reliable typical price, so we do not quote one. Whoever offers names a fixed price, and you choose whether to accept it.
It is free to post a job on Taskerama and to compare offers. If you hire someone, a booking fee is added to the price you agree: £4.95 on a price under £30, £9.95 from £30 to £59.99 and £14.95 from £60 to £89.99, shown on every offer before you accept.
That is up to whoever offers to help. Every shop page on this site shows the towns and villages around it and how far each one is, so you can see at a glance how close you really are.
Not from Aldi, but there may be help near you. Age UK says your local Age UK may be able to help with grocery delivery or escorted shopping, and the Royal Voluntary Service helps people get to the shops in some areas. Your council may know of other schemes.
It is worth asking early, and asking whether there is a charge, because what is on offer differs from one area to the next.
